Sarah and Alexander could not have picked a better day to have their wedding. With so many beautiful areas in Jim Thorpe, we made the most out of all the locations. We even got to ride a special history wedding trolly, pull the horn on a coal train, and stop by the water for a quick photo session.
We started our day getting ready at the Harry Packer Mansion and the photo opportunities were endless. Because we were able to do a first look, we then trolleyed across Jim Thorpe stopping for portraits along the way. After relaxing for some portraits we headed to St. Marks Church for the ceremony.
One fun thing the couple had shared about St. Marks Church is that it holds the oldest elevator in America’s history! The woman who paid for it had two conditions before she donated the money: she got the first ride in it and it had to be big enough to accommodate a casket and pall bearers. She took the first ride when her casket was brought to the church for her funeral. At the time of her death she was considered the second richest women in the world. The richest, Queen Elizabeth!
Following the ceremony we headed to venue The Flagstaff, which is nestled away in the mountains and overlooked the town. To end the night the sun set perfectly along the side of the building as guest danced away.
This day was truly magic. Wishing the happiest of lives to these two. Full gallery.
